My 600th ceremony!
Hi, I'm Penelope. I've been an Adelaide marriage celebrant for over 11 years, and I've been involved with more than 600 ceremonies. I know I don't look old enough right! I'm outgoing, experienced, fun and, importantly, a very modern celebrant who focuses on making your ceremony memorable for all the right reasons and, importantly, stress-free. If you want fun, joyful and engaging, that's pretty much all I know. If you want romance and warm gooey feelings, consider it done. If you want a laugh, let's do that - let's do you.
It is my honour to create for you a ceremony that is personal and engaging with your own individual personalities. I am committed to delivering a ceremony that reflects your relationship and its uniqueness. As the great man once said, “We are all a little weird, and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” ― Dr. Seuss.
As your celebrant, I aim to provide incredible memories alongside outstanding service. Whether your ceremony is traditional, unique or somewhere in between, I can help you make your wedding day what you've always wished for. It's your special day and should be exactly what you both want and more. But as I like to say, no matter who you pick to marry you, make sure they embrace joyfulness. You want your wedding day to be joyful, don’t you? Happiness is often a feeling over a long period of time, but achieving real joy is key to making your marriage ceremony and wedding day everything you want. You need a joy creator and an embracer of joy in every way. That's what you will find in me. So if you want me to be your celebrant, you should know more!

I get that you feel clueless and a bit lost. I know you’re unsure, that is why I expect about 1,000 questions from you. I worry if you don’t ask me! Ask away as I'm here to help in any way I can. I always try to have the right answer, if I don't I will try and find it for you.
Well I think it's important, don't you? I always ask what your weddings colour scheme and theme is so I know how I should dress. While I know I'm maybe a little too old to be a bridesmaid these days I don't want to appear to be dressing like yours! If you have a certain preference I'm completely open to your thoughts and ideas. I've got a pretty big wardrobe!
I have a fantastic portable system called a LD Maui Go 5 to play your music through for your ceremony. It provides up to 30 hours of continuous performance and while I’m not 100% sure what a sub-woofer is, it has one (or maybe two)! Although I'm a really big fan of live music, my PA is there if you need it. Having live music can and does make all the difference to your ceremonies atmosphere. Please ask if you would like some suggestions for live music options.
My ceremonies are warm, organised, fresh and involving. My performance is professional and well crafted. When my couples need me to step in and become the organiser and bring everyone together, I'm there. I also intuitively know when you need space. When it comes to the kiss you won't find me in that photo either! That is only about you both, not a celebrant stuck in the middle. You can see me in action in lots of ceremonies on my Facebook page.

Paperwork, “I love it” said no one ever. That’s OK, I’ve got it covered and I take care of everything. The first part of the process is called a NOIM. We do that together in my home office. This document will help you understand the legal side a little better. But I'm here to take care of everything.
I love them! It helps to make sure everything runs smoothly and most people (the groomsmen don’t always listen:) have a clue about what they are doing, where they should stand and when to help you. I want you and your wedding party to be happy and well-informed through the whole process. You are spending a lot of money on this day. Let’s make sure you’re happy from the beginning of the celebration.
Or as I call it “the pretty one” and you will receive it after your ceremony. It goes in with a copy I make of your ceremony and the vows for you to keep. I also help you apply for the official marriage certificate from Birth, Deaths and Marriages.
